We are looking for background music that is conversation-friendly for a cocktail event. What are our options?

Our event will start with cocktails and will be followed by a dinner reception. We need background music for the entire duration. What are our options?

You can choose the same small group for the entire evening. They can easily move from the cocktail to the dinner area. You can also create a contrast by adding a singer. For a seamless transition, you also have the option of choosing one of our other groups for the dinner. The musicians can also play music for presentations or awards during the evening.

 

I am hosting an event for a complete evening, with cocktails, dinner and dance. Do I need to hire three groups?

You have the option of choosing the orchestra for dancing, and then having three or four musicians from the group play for cocktails and dinner. Some events may call for a different group during each portion of the event.

 

Our annual awards gala will be hosted by a media personality who will sing a few songs. Can the band play music for the awards and accompany the host?

Family Affair has a lot of experience playing as « House Band » for these events. The band offers a wide variety of music for presentations and can accompany hosts and guest artists in any style. The band can then play dance music for the rest of the evening.

 

We are having a ribbon-cutting ceremony and open-house event for the opening of our new building.
We want lively music inside and outside for the employees and visitors. What is the simplest way
to do this?
Several of our small groups are ideal for this circumstance. A group like Bourbon Street can stroll and be seen and heard by a maximum amount of people. We also have small "unplugged" groups that are easily set-up at commercial events such as trade shows, shopping malls, retail outlets, promotional events, etc.

 

Our town is having a festival to celebrate its anniversary. Can we find different groups every day for the various activities?
Each one of our groups is suitable for such public events. Some can give small concerts in parks, others can play large dances in public squares.
